Amy...good point...that's why I regularly write, email, and call the elected officials in my area...it's always amazing to me how many NEVER respond...and then there are others who NEVER fail to respond! I'm afraid some of these men/women have forgotten how they got into office...
@m.steve - Cynicism is the lifeblood of the Republican party. The more you are convinced that both parties are the same / are liars / etc, the more power you cede to corporate interests who can buy government. Buying the government is much easier when the populace is disaffected; your world-weary knowing stance furthers the ends of exactly one party.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

Both the DNC and the RNC say what the people want to hear...and whatever will get the most votes. Period. End of discussion.
