Nice. (I recycle.)

Carbon offsetting does not give you good karma! It's just paying money for your moral wrongs, that doesn't give you good karma, or help the environment for that matter! see cheatneutral.com for an excellent and funny analysis of why!

Carbon Offsets: Making stupid people feel good since 2007

Carbon offsets are the modern-day equivalent of the "indulgences" sold by the church centuries ago. Sorry... just doesn't work that way.

Maybe a more appropriate "A" would be riding a bike, walking, or the like?

Oh dear, you're going to have to remind me which is the x and which is the y axis. I can't believe I am asking this!

x is flat, y is up and down.

My interpretation is not that carbon offsets are great, it's just the way rich folk justify what they do.

Recycling doesn't give you good karma either, just wastes your time accomplishing nothing but spending government money.

For more information check out Penn and Teller's episode on recycling.

Wow. My thought was how true this one was.

Carbon offsets, if they're in the way of paying for people to plant trees certainly help with global warming, but they're not so good with peak oil. And anything from Penn and Teller is bound to be funny, but not necessarily "accurate".
