Either this one went right over my head, or I'm right in thinking that it makes no sense.
It looks like you're trying to say that as more energy is needed for budgeting, the number of Starbucks decreases (which makes sense, considering how many stores they're closing). But I don't understand how espresso's can require more energy, or how that leads to an increase in the number or some other value of Starbucks.
This well represents the daily struggle I now face working across the parking lot from a Starbucks.
So far I've resisted everyday (for the sake of my budget) though I sure could use that energy/sugar boost in morning... the coffee we have at work doesn't quite satisfy the same way...
So, I'm thinking that in terms of Budgeting, the energy might refer to the rising cost of gasoline-energy here lately... which makes it all fit, for me... --Anon IV
you get an energy boost from star$ because their espresso blend unlike all others contains 35 to 40% robusto beans, most has 7 to 12% they load their blend with these cheaper less quality beans and roast them just a touch too much, people get hooked on the caffine not the taste, it's really a shame and a waste of $5.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

What is "budgeting", and why does it take energy to drink starbucks espresso?
Yeah - what is budgeting?

tl;dr: Huh?
to the people above: dude the more energy you need the more expressos you'll need. budget = amount of money.
chuck this one in the reverse-cyclic auxilary transducer,, throw in a couple cups of coffe for good measure. and ask Blue where the Thinking Chair is.
i didn't have a problem getting the joke.
(just so there's not more people commenting who didn't get it vs. those who did)
