Really? I've never had a problem. Maybe because I'm a guy and the women treat me differently. (Excpet for one place which had one salesMAN who I think was there to talk to the guys that they thought might be too embarrased to ask anything or buy anything.)
Actually, the girls at Victoria's Secret don't get commission, nor do they get much above minimum wage. They just get heaping piles of shit from their boss if they don't SELL SELL SELL OMG SELL.
I used to work there (see my expose at ConsumerMachine) - when I worked there it was more about getting credit card accounts opened, which I'm sure you all have experienced how annoying THAT is on top of everything else...
I also used to work at Victoria's Secret and we all had sales goals and a number of credit cards that we were supposed to get. I think the amount of hours one was scheduled for during the week was heavily influenced by one's selling prowess if you were a bra specialist. That said, some workers might be assertive, but I think their behavior pales in comparison to the customers.
During, semi-annual sales they literally act like pigs fighting over the "panty troughs." Then there are the women who become exhibitionists in the dressing rooms and throw open the door when you bring them another size sans top or bra. One actually said, "You must see stuff like this all the time." That doesn't make it right, lady. Not right at all.
I've heard countless women and men refer to a store called "Victoria Secrets" (with an -s), despite the fact that the sign above the entrance says clearly "Victoria's Secret". I was once speaking with a former employee and I asked her, "Why do so many people call it 'Victoria Secrets'?" She replied "Victoria only has one secret, and it's that she makes shoddy bras." Well put, my friend.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

So true! I just had a fairly foul experience with them yesterday trying to return their stupid new bra!

Alternate caption: "Creepy guys who hang out at/near VS looking to 'score' with cute shoppers."
