Yes, but beads are FUN! I got some while waiting to get an X-ray yesterday!

Beads > Dignity

The "Maid of Orleans" statue on Decatur Street is always covered with beads. I wonder what that says about her.

I don't get this one. Is it an American thing?

My first comment on this blog. I love it!

It's a Mardi Gras thing in New Orleans. During the parades the crews throw out beads and other trinkets. To get the cool beads you sometimes have to "do" something interesting. I seem to recall that when I went about fifteen years ago, you could only earn black beads if you showed your tatas. (I never got any black beads.)

Make more sense now?

Ah...Mardi Gras. The last bastion of true utter moral depravity left in the US. I went there a long time ago ("back in the day" as I tell my wife).

I don't really understand the situational ethics that allow a true lady to do things for beads that you'd get slapped even for suggesting back at home. For beads.

Go figure.

hank: situational ethics = alcohol (and/or "etc.')

The line you drew works for Mardi Gras. But a line rising along the x-axis would work for a Mother Superior.

My dignity goes down more the more pretty beads there are in a shop for me to drool over.
