UCSC, as usual, is an outlier: it has among the highest student/tree ratios, and (for people who live in California) it is rather affordable.

Guess that only applies to the U.S. Here in Quebec, there's a lot of three, and very low tuition ;-)

I think we have about 30 trees on campus and am paying 30k a year. So much for that theory.

Not NYU. Well upwards of $40K/year and darned few trees except in Washington Square.

UCSC is only affordable if you ignore Santa Cruz's exorbitant housing costs.

As they keep adding more "green spaces" at my school the tuition keeps going up and up and up.

...[thinking] Most Medical Schools are part of a hospital network often in a downtown-y area (not all, just most). So we pay even more tuition and all we get are blocks and blocks of concrete. Heck, at Louisville, the only green we have is fenced off for the weird sculpture in our cement courtyard.

No kidding. OSU is swamped with trees (despite all the buildings) and the tuition is directly proportionate....geesh.

University of Oregon is one of the cheapest 4 year schools in the nation and is frequently described as an arboretum.

Actually, UCSC is pretty green, but the more they chop, the higher the tuition seems to go...

University of Oregon currently lists $6,174 for a basic 15-hour tuition cost. Plenty of 4 year colleges offer tuition for $1500 or less (possibly due to their lack of trees)
