Everyone should shave with hot water.

Hot water, whip up a good lather with your mug and brush, get out the razor, and... whoops!

A funny side note on goosebumps and shaving... Supposedly getting goosebumps makes the hair grow back in faster, thus needing to shave more frequently (and having shaved makes you a little more cold without the hair...)

No clue if its true or not.

Oh my.
This automatically makes me think of all the family boating trips. Ever tried to shave your legs in cold lake water while sitting on the diving platform of a 24' Slickcraft? I used to bring dull razors on purpose so that I wouldn't bleed as much.

dull razors make it easier to nick yourself because you feel like you need to press in harder.

and i have also heard about the goosebumps and making hair grow in faster; makes sense. leg hair is there to keep us warm, and when do our legs need to be warm more than when we don't have much leg hair?

i have also heard that shaving with cold water will keep your legs smoother for longer because it forces the hairs out ever so slightly more and so you are shaving ever so slightly lower on the hair follicles.

i feel ok with rambling about such things because of the index just a couple before this one... about tangents.

Wasn't that the slogan for the production company of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
