The wife and I are hunting for a condo for exactly this reason. Well, that and the fact that we can afford a condo in the city. City living is wonderfully convenient.
One word: clover. I mean, what's the point of grass? Clover doesn't need to be mowed, fights most weed, doesn't need as much water, is actually more comfortable, looks as good, requires almost no care, is more ecological, and (if there's no cat or dog around) is edible. Plus it flowers for a couple of weeks each year, so you have variety.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

Hahah! Exactly. If it weren't for my fiance, I'd be living in an apartment fo sho!
That's the beauty of owning a townhome. Enough space, no yard work.

I live in apartment, but I actually go over to my boyfriend's house to help him work on his yard.... I find it enjoyable. :-)
*sigh* wish I had a house to complain about!
The grass is always greener. I longed for a house, now I have one that I LOVE, but sometimes miss the carlessness of renting.
Watering and weeding are two of my favorite chores. It's one reason I have plants all over my apartment. I can't wait for a real yard.
@silver sound:
You sound like I used to.
Just. You. Wait.
:-D
LOL

Don't forget about caring for a swimming pool. Can I file that under "watering?"
Is this to make the apartment dwellers amongst us feel better?
