The Senate doesn't have a Speaker.
I love this blog so much it hurts to complain, but...
The House of Representatives has a Speaker, while the Senate has a President.
Maybe "...powerful legislator"?

this is hilarious. for once i say to hell with the nitpickers.
For that matter, the House of Representatives doesn't have Senators.
