white dude here; very nerdy, very bald, very safe-looking white dude. pulled over four times in my life. received a ticket every time. one of those times they gave me two tickets, probably to make up for the beautiful ladies they let off the hook earlier in the day. As far as I can tell, my only crime (besides speeding, of course) was "driving while not an attractive woman."
ha - I am a pretty girl (says my mom) but if I get pulled over, I get a ticket. Every time. Which is...3 times so far. I think they are a bit testy about the whole "pretty girl" thing these days.
I'm a white nurse and have actually gotten pulled over for speeding on the way home from work and did not get a ticket, but a warning. According to the cop, "I don't give tickets to anyone who can save my life".
I am a black woman I got pulled over for the first time in MA days after Christmas Was I speeding? Yes--80 in a 65mph. Did I admit it? Yes. Did I look sorry? Of course, and I was. Did I get a warning? Yes I did. But I don't think a black man would have.
Interestingly, around here the county police use brown cars, and the state police use white cars. I'm more likely to get a ticket from the county police.
To those who say they are white and have received tickets: it's not that white = no ticket, it's that not-white = more likely to get a ticket. There are no absolutes.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

If that's the case, I would like the money I had to pay for the ticket I received back.
How do I go about doing this?
This is quite true in most cases!

THis is the first thing I have ever seen here that's false.
"Black Rob? Well, I'm White Cop! Now git out the car!"
Pardon me ... But what's brown? Indian ?

Hey, I've been pulled over a bunch of times and not gotten tickets. I'm a whitey.

perhaps being a doctor or a nurse will prevent people from getting tickets now on if this ever catches on :O

Once, when I was pulled over I tried to talk my way out of a ticket and attempted to act blind...
They don't like that...

I know it's not just the luck of the irish that has gotten me off the hook with warnings in the past.
Racial profiling made a huge comeback post
Sept. 11 (If it ever left at all).
you can replace "brown" with "non-white"
I agree with others that this is B.S., sorry... like the other whites who have posted, I've gotten a ticket every time I've been pulled over.
It's not just about who gets a warning or a ticket. It's also about who gets pulled over in the first place!!
And it varies a lot from state to state and county to county.
White dudes are disadvantaged compared to which chicks. But try being dark skinned, getting pulled over, and NOT getting frisked, eh?
