Not to nit pick (well, yes, I guess to nitpick, sorry), but I'd have switched the axes. Usually I show cause on the x, and effect on the y. But then, I'm not an economist.
This site is a little project that lets me make fun of some things and sense of others.
I use it to think a little more relationally without resorting to doing actual math.

Nowadays there are many medical discoveries and many extinct species, so shouldn't your graph show a positive association?
