I don't know.
I think of the Emos I've ever known, all there parents were pretty well off.
On the other hand, I've known a lot of wealthy people w/o Emo children.
It works with one axis more than the other.
Still laughed though.
hmm

Haha, this is definitely true.

They're probably Emo because Mommy and Daddy are too busy working all the time to pay any attention to them.

It contradicts the whole underlying theme of being emo to actually suffer. Life's got to be pretty easy to effectively pull it off. So yeah, I hear ya.

brilliant.

While they may be well off and emo's cutting themselves (what's new) I can guarantee that the parents are cutting themselves, too. lol haha.

What a twist that would be for this chart huh?!

people cut themselves to relieve stress, pain, and hurt in a different way...and i respect that. so people who are laughing at emos can shut up.

seriously? there was a time when those people were just called depressed or had issues. being 'emo' is stupid, and it's a stupid label. Everyone that is human is almost always somewhat emo-tional. Founding a culture based on that is idiocy.

Oh, for God's sake...why is everyone so judge'mental'. give it a rest! let the emos be emos, the goths be goths, the preppys be preppys, etc. (by the way, i am NOT a preppy) done. so, people, just deal with it!

yh suppose its true but i cut and have been labeled emo it can get annoying ppl dont understand tho i'm not well of
i dont see my parents much but i hate it when i walk down da street and ppl stare at me

okay, i cut myself, got a problem?! i do it cos i feel worthless, by my friends, school, family.

i feel like i dont belong.
ive just broke up with my girlfriend, and yeh, i cut myself, cos i fxckin loved her!
ive tried overdosing and failed, ended up in hospital for a week with methamphetamine poisining! =)

im not emo, ive got short hair, wear tracksuits.
got a problem? call 0-800-kiss-my-ass!

...Is it weird that I'm flattered by this? I'm 'emo', in that I follow the current stereotypical definition of emo, and I'm also desperately chippy... I'm horribly pleased by this chart.

On another note: rich people can have problems. Abuse (sexual or otherwise) can and does occur in such homes; parents can beat their spouses and/or children and be alcoholic; children can be neglected (which is difficult to deal with).

Anyway, yeah.

i understand that people out there feel depressed and worthless, and emotionally in pain or whatever, but self harm or attempted suicide isn't going to make that anywhere, why kill yourselves when you have the strength to turn things around? i've been through a lot of bad stuff but you have to just have to pick yourself up and get on with life, get counselling if you need it, just don't waste the life you were blessed with when if you try hard enough you can do something with it,
live life, love it, and be happy,

How many emos does it take to put in a lightbulb?

None they just sit in the dark and cry!

...Fantastic

HAH! It's called formal operational thought, you have a problem you deal with it. I poke fun at emos because they whine and bitch about there problems.
YOU grow up, everyone else in the world has.

its more refering to the fact that emo is fashion based, i like to wear black jeans, connies, studded belt, badges, bandana, flanny, and a band shirt, all up this out fit will cost up to 300 dollars, this is with cheao gear too, u do need a high income to keep up with emo tendancies =O

for gods sake ppl, not one person goes "emo" coz they're depressed, i have shit loads of emo friends that are all a bunch of cheery fun ppl

plz spread this, EMO is FAKE its a steriotype its rly just a word to describe the type of clothes that an "EMO" wears, black skinnie jeans, tight shirts etc

can also be described as a type of music, this music doesnt have to be emotional either, its rly just a modern pop rock with a touch of hardcore...listen to the used, hawthorne heights and Senses Fail

and one more thing, for gods sakes people, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS NOT EMO!
AND NEITHER IS FALL OUT BOY
MCR, listen to Teenagers, its a PUNK/ROCK SONG, but they wer make up! didnt KISS wear make up?

and fall out boy...i challenge any1 to find emo lyrical value in thier music and they are an alternate/rock band

that is all i have to say

It's surprising how people got so defensive about being emo, when this isnt poking fun at the emo subculture, but rather emo tendancies. Some people read the word emo and get pissed off because they're emo, or they're insecure about how emo they are, no matter what the context is.

The author wrote "Emo tendancies" not "Emo faggotry" or whatever you angry people mistook it as. Emo tendancies being the sterotypically accepted tendancy for emos to cut, cry, be introverted, write poetry, and what have you.

This is hilarious guize, since it seems to be for the most part true
